Using Blog Networks To Drive Traffic

Blogs are probably the most popular form of website that’s out there today. They’re easy to access; they have low price points (many personal blogs are even free!); and they allow anyone with a keyboard and an internet connection to say what they want to say.

Many businesses find value in blogs as well – they can help your visitors keep up to date with new products and what’s going on in your company, they can help you be seen as an expert in your niche, and can even help create a sense of community through comments and answers.

Blog networks are a good way to get your blog out there and to make sure that it’s seen by the right people. A blog network is a network of websites, usually under the control of one person. You gain access to the network, and when you make a blog posting or post an article, it is then pushed out to all of the other blogs on the network.

There are several factors you should consider when choosing the right blog network for you. One of the most important is to ensure the blogs are submitted by the users.

If they’re all owned by the same person, they’re likely to be hosted in the same place, and too many links coming back to your website from one individual IP address can end up being a red flag for Google and other search engines.

It’s a pretty advanced strategy and you need to be careful since it can be considered “grey hat”… that said, if you’d like to learn more tips about blog networks and other ways to drive traffic to your website, check out some of our other products here at Melbourne SEO Services.
